About me

Introduction I've always loved to draw for as long as I can remember. This love was matched only by my curiosity for science and the inner workings of our world. Had it not been for my friend Cinque I might have become a scientist or physicist at least temporarily. He had heard about a school called The H.S. of Art and Design. After a school tour the die was cast. From there I went on to The School of Visual Arts where I graduated with a degree in Animation and Cartooning. After working as a freelance illustrator I got my first job as an assistant animator. I worked at every major animation house in New York from Broadcast Arts, Curious Pictures, MTV Animation, Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers, to some of the smaller operations Stretch Films, Magnet Pictures, Bullseye Art, Flicker Lab, and 4Kids, to name a few. I was the lead animator on an oscar nominated short film that later became the hit show "Courage The Cowardly Dog" on the Cartoon Network. In 1995 I started Funkmation Studios Inc. where I have produced and directed short films for 2 Emmy Award winning seasons of Sesame Steet and projects for Nickelodeon, ESPN, Martha Stewart Living, Sesame Street Digital, Meow Mix, and many others.
