| Introduction | Once upon a time there was a little girl who wanted to be in charge. She might possibly have liked to be a queen, just like Lucy in Charlie Brown--but there weren't any princes available to marry and she didn't have enough money to "buy herself a queendom." So, she practiced being in charge by telling her younger brothers and sisters what to do. When she grew up she spent some time in college and some time on a trip to Europe--where she checked out some palaces, but none of them came with princes (except Buckingham Palace--but Prince Charles was not a handsome prince, plus he had very large ears and was going bald--which to a 19 year-old is very bad--plus she never actually saw Prince Charles, just the guards changing in front of the palace. A year or so after she returned from Europe she met a boy who was pretty easy going and let her think she was in charge! They fell in love and so far--for the last 27 years it has worked out prety well. It has been at least as good as marrying a prince! |
