| Introduction | I'm happily married for over 26 years (yeah!) and the mother of 3 adventuresome young men. My youngest son recently graduated, so, after homeschooling for over 15 years, I’m done. I am also the author of a very comprehensive guidebook, currently in the 8th edition, through Southern California called Fun and Educational Places to go With Kids and Adults in Southern California. I have written weekly columns for the Long Beach Press Telegram and for the Los Angeles Times, and have written articles for parenting magazines and other publications. I have been featured on radio and television, and I speak to about 30 groups a year. I speak mostly frequently, but not exclusively, about places to go - the importance of going on field trips or outings; how to make the most of your time; and exactly where to go. My love of travel came from living in Sweden during my last year of college and I've had the privilege to travel all over the world, including the U.S., and extensively throughout Southern California. |
