| Introduction | I was born with hip dysplasia, which didn't cause any obvious problems until about 2006, with mild hip pain... misdiagnosed as soft tissue damage. It slowly got worse. In April 2013 my hips essentially crumbled from under me. Two total hip replacements. At 55, I had never even been admitted to the hospital. This is my daily account beginning 10-23-2013 - half-way between my two surgeries. I have picked up some of the story from the beginning, but needed to start writing now. I'll fill in as time permits - almost there. Meantime, I hope this is of some interest to you - maybe helpful or informative, or reassuring - or at least amusing or entertaining! |
