| Introduction | I am a veteran home school Mom, who along with thousands of others, pioneered an unpopular idea into the accepted and often desired option it is today. We worked to make it legal in every state and in the beginning (early 80s) we lived quietly and carefully to not to draw attention to ourselves... My 5 kids range in age from 19 to 34... 3 have flown and landed well, one is currently living at home and working and going to college and one is a High School senior finishing her senior year at the community college through the Running Start program. AND finally - I am now trying to find my niche in the world as a married woman (to the same man for over 35 years) whose identity is no longer being a sahm. Whose identity isn't her kids... these are my thoughts as I walk a new path as a 50+ year old baby boomer... My thoughts as I find new purpose. Hopefully aging wisely and gracefully. Finding a new joy in Life, new spark and joy in Marriage, in Living. I am not a naturally upbeat, happy person. Joy is what I am learning. What God is teaching me. It just doesn't come naturally to me... |
