| Introduction | Marcela Chaván has a Ph.D. in Intercultural and International Communication, and a master’s degree in both counseling and social communication. Dr. Chaván is actively involved in the community as chair of the education committee of the Hampton Roads Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and cofounder and Chair of the Hispanic Leadership Forum. Currently, Dr. Chaván directs the Center for Latino Leadership at Regent University. //// La Dra. Chaván tiene un doctorado en filosofía de la comunicación especializado en comunicación intercultural e internacional, una maestría en consejería y otra en comunicación social.
