Introduction | RED... having, or characterised by the colour which appears at the lower or least refracted end of the visible spectrum, and is familiar as that of blood, fire, the poppy, the rose, and ripe fruit; implying superior quality or value; an extreme radical or revolutionary SNAPPER... a word, sentence, verse, etc. used as a finishing touch or wind-up; a sharp or caustic remark; one who snaps or seizes upon a thing quickly; one who speaks or answers snappishly or roughly; a cracker; one who takes an instantaneous photograph |
Interests | I love dogs, especially Lurchers, long walks with Spike, the Quantock Hills in Somerset, politics, making things (particularly bags and cakes), furniture restoration, wood, gardening, taking pictures of stuff and spending time with the Dolls (great sisters and comrades!) |
Favorite Movies | Anything by the Coen Brothers, Stephen Poliakoff, Neil Jordan, and Peter Greenaway, Jason & the Argonauts ( but it has to be the Harryhausen version), The Usual Suspects, American Beauty, Pulp Fiction, Harold & Maude, The Crying Game, The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Moulin Rouge |
Favorite Music | The Jam, The Undertones, Elvis Costello, John Martyn, Robert Wyatt, The Stranglers, Cocteau Twins, Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers (very special favourite), Julian Cope, REM, Pulp, Basement Jaxx, Gorillaz |
Favorite Books | I love detective stories, particularly Henning Mankell. I'm re-reading all my paperbooks in alphabetical order and I'm up to "G" which is quite good, but I really liked "C" (mostly because of Paolo Coelho). And of course there's the wonderful "Timoleon Vieta Come Home" by Dan Rhodes - a must for any dog lover |
