Introduction Morris Gurr served as the Senior Pastor at Christian Covenant Church in Albany, GA from December of 2007 until the end of March 2012. Before that he had served as the Associate Pastor for eight years. He and his wife, Sarah, of nearly 45 years have three wonderful, born again, dedicated, Holy Spirit filled children and nine grandchildren. Morris was elected to a 4 year term for the Albany Ward 3 City Commission seat in December of 2005. However, he chose not to seek a second term. In January of 2012 Morris was appointed to a 2 year term by the City Commission to sit on the city's Water, Gas & Light Commission board. Currently, he and Sarah are being led by the Holy Spirit to the foreign mission field. In June of 2012 they attended an orientation/training class at World Indigenous Missions located in New Braunfels, TX. Morris went on a mission trip to Mexico in December 2012 and He and Sarah spent 3 weeks in Russia in November 2013, a week in Honduras in 2014, 3 weeks in India in 2015 and 12 days in Mexico in 2016. They will continue to connect with the nations for the purpose of equipping and training kingdom leaders and pastors. They currently reside in Tifton, GA.
