The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?

I imagine I was pretty stinkin' shocked! Imagine being a baby and your mom covers your toes up with a shoe! The audacity! Now you'll never see your toes again! And then she takes your shoes off, and WHEW! They are still there! Sweet relief!
