| Introduction | I grew up in the Manchester area before attending Portsmouth College of Technology (now Portsmouth University). Having obtained a degree in Geology and Geography, I joined the UK Hydrographic Office in Taunton, Somerset and worked there for 39 years. I retired from the UK Hydrographic Office at the end of 2008. Since then I have re-kindled an old interest in walking and work as a volunteer on th West Somerset Railway. I am married with three grown up step children. |
