My blogs
| Introduction | This blog is a glossary of words and phrases that I thought useful for conversational Latin. It is an ongoing project. I am adding new colloquial words and expressions as I find them. The additions are made by editing them into the already existing blogs, each devoted to a letter of the alphabet (click on October, 2011, to get a link for each letter). I post an update whenever I've added a significant amount of new material. The sources for the vocabulary so far are: Apuleius (Ap) Aulus Gellius (AG), Caesar (Cs) Cicero (C), Comenius (Com) Erasmus (Er), Frontinus (F) Fronto (Fr), Horace (H), Juvenal (J) Livy (Lv) Lucretius (L), Persius (Pr) Petronius (P), Plautus (Pl), Pliny the Elder (PE) Quintillian (Q) Sallust (Sal) Seneca (S), Suetonius (Suet), Terence (T), Tacitus (Tac), Valerius Maximus (VM) Virgil (V) ***If you have any suggestions for this blog, or if you want to let me know of any errors, typos, etc., you can send me an email at apodyterion@yahoo.com |
