| Introduction | Shirley Madikwe is the director and founder of Gamodubu Childcare Trust in Botswana, Africa. In 2005, she opened the center that now feeds over 135 children daily. She is fervently seeking help in building a facility to not only feed these children, many of which are HIV/AIDS infected, but to house those that are abandoned as well. She has received many awards including the Five Roses-Thari ya Sechaba Award recognizing her compassion for needy children. In addition to feeding children, Shirley looks after more than 20 orphans and vulnerable children and provides clothing for them. She has also extended her services to providing shelter to teenage mothers and caring for their infants. Shirley has a compassionate heart. Shirley’s smiling face tells the story of the joy she receives by selflessly helping her community. |
