About me

Introduction	I've published 76 juvenile and young adult novels and have three more coming out this year. I've written historical novels, mysteries, supernatural, ghost stories and humor. I've authored four book series: TAFFY SINCLAIR (Bantam Skylark), THE FABULOUS FIVE (Bantam Skylark), BOYTALK (Random House Bullseye), and BONE CHILLERS (HarperPaperback). The BONE CHILLERS series was humor/supernatural and became an ABC Saturday Morning TV series. My humorous novel, THE GREAT MOM SWAP, became an ABC Saturday Night Movie. Lucky me I've received numerous awards beginning with COWSLIP, my very first novel, which was named to the national list of Books for Brotherhood. DEADLY DECEPTION was named an ALA Quick Pick, the New York Library Books for the Teen Age and was on the Texas Lone Star Reading List. I've been an instructor for the Institute of Children's Literature and currently teach "Writing the Middle-Grade Novel" and "Writing the Young Adult Novel" on line for UCLA Extension.
