| Introduction | In my lifetime I have lived in three different countries so far. In 1995 I moved away from my home country, Switzerland, to Spain and went to Javea International College to complete the IGCSEs and the A-levels. I then moved to Leicester in order to start a Foundation course in Art and Design at the DeMonfort University. I completed the course with a certificate of merit and continued my design education at Goldsmiths College in London. Living abroad and being a member of the international community for over ten years has taught me to be culturally aware and to always think in broad terms. As a result of my international experience I have also learnt to speak fluent German, Spanish and English. In September 2007 I have completed a BA course in Design and I have immediately started a part-time MA in Critical Practice, as I wanted a further opportunity to analyse and explore my full potential. My reason for choosing to do a part-time course was to have spare time to work on my personal project. I spend most of my time perfecting my idea, however, in order to gain further experience in the field, I always welcome opportunities to get work experience. |
