Introduction	I am a Jewish mother of a beautiful young girl. I fled her father, who was my husband, when I was pregnant with her because of his violent temper. Because of the stigma of having a mood disorder, I was not often believed when I tried to get help, even though my mood disorder was well controlled with medication. I left my beloved Israel to be safe with my family in the United States. There I became an agunah for 2 years until the Israeli authorities placed my husband in jail for refusing to grant the divorce. I received the get years ago, yet continue to wait for the Teudat Gerush. This has legal repercussions for me and my daughter. My daughter, who has never seen her homeland, and I are essentially in exile, awaiting the Teudat Gerush.
