About me

Introduction SOPHIE IBBOTSON read Oriental Languages at Cambridge and has been on the road ever since. In 2008 Sophie’s Tracing Tea expedition was the first to drive an auto-rickshaw (“tuk-tuk”) over the 14000 ft Kunjerab Pass. The team and tuk-tuks will complete their 15000 mile drive from Darjeeling to London later on this year. BRYN KEWLEY is an aspiring adventurer and designated grease monkey for the trip. His biggest adventure so far was sailing a 67ft Oyster Ketch from Nova Scotia to Belfast with the Rona Sailing Project. After this trip he is planning a solo motorbike excursion from the UK east to the end of the earth. JO DEW-JONES studied Politics in Nottingham University. After graduating in 2008, Jo went travelling with a friend for several months in Asia and Australia, joining up with Steve, her husband, and hitchhiking round south-east Asia. STEVE DEW-JONES is an author and freelance journalist. He studied theology at Nottingham University, where he worked for the student radio and magazine. In 2008 he left England to hitchhike all the way to Malaysia. The Rule of Thumb, his book about the adventure, will be published in the coming months.
