| Introduction | This is my first year of doctoral studies at Indiana University of PA. I'm working toward a PhD in English with a focus on Composition + TESOL. As part of EN 808 I'm writing a blog about my experiences, which you'll find here. WARNING TO MYSELF: "To filter or not to filter." Exposing one's true thoughts can be a central part of the writing process or it can be leveled at a person in one way or another. | Interests | Traveling far and near, foreign languages and literature, enjoying the company of good friends and family in conjuction with any combination of culinary delights, fine arts, exotic birds or tropical fruit. Most importantly, my spouse. :) |
| Favorite music | Is it possible for a person to have a favorite when they enjoy so many things? Pop, classical, organ, dance, and bit of anything electronic to keep the blood flowing. |
| Favorite books | I admit to having a soft spot for British novels - Austen, the Brontes, George Eliot, and of course mystery greats such as Agatha Christie. Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky also rank high on my list. |
