Location Livingston, Montana
Introduction I think of myself as leading a non-traditional life. I have recently retired from running a research lab at Boise State University. When I was 46, I earned a bachelor's degree in physics from University of Washington and at age 50 I earned a Master's in Materials Science from BSU. This was after attending five other colleges for about one year each between the ages of 18 and 41. The first time I "retired" it was from a career as a Seattle Firefighter (1978 - 1992). I have been a cab driver, karate teacher, ski trail groomer, secretary, craft sales-hippie, housekeeper, semiconductor engineer, school bus driver, engineering technician, and lab rat. I have climbed mountains, traveled on five continents, lived in eight states and three countries, protested wars, offended many people and failed to publish a single novel. I have a sense of humor and a sense of direction, but no fashion sense and no common sense. I am never bored.
