| Introduction | My name Sudiharto, a classical and contemporary dancer, musician and also a choreographer. I started to learn dance when I was fifteen years old at SMKI (high school of arts, department of dance) Yogyakarta for four years. In that school I learned traditional and classical dance, more specific was Classical Javanese Dance, Style of Yogyakarta. At the same time I also learned with Romo Sasmito Mardowo, Yogyakarta’s Master of Classical Javanese Dance at Pamulangan Beksa Ngayogyakarta Foundation. I finished my high school in 1994. Later I studied at Indonesian Institute of The Arts, Yogyakarta. In that Institute I learned traditional, classical, contemporary dance and choreography. I have seriously learned contemporary dance with Miroto and since 1997 I started to join Miroto Dance Company as a dancer and active to support Miroto work. He gave me critics, advices to be a good dancer and professional attitude as a dancer. His critics made me thought larger about dance. In 1999 I was graduated from Indonesian Institute of The Arts Yogyakarta. |
