| Introduction | A homely, rustic, somewhat hairy creature, Sam loves nothing more than pottering about in his garden. Often found tending his crops (sycamores) in the hope of a bumper harvest (of rare birds), Sam hates being away from his beloved patch, and despises adventures. Possessed of an unfeasibly large appetite for home-cooked food and real ale, it's rumoured that he consumes three full cooked breakfasts prior to a day in the field. Most notably, Sam has the uncanny knack of being away from the region whenever the latest mega makes landfall. His sweetheart Rosie is his constant birding companion, and together they spend many happy hours on Forvie Moor, trying in vain to find something which isn't a Meadow Pipit. |
