| Introduction | Food, glorious food...those workhouse boys in Oliver had it right. Food IS glorious. It's sensible and illogical, magical and real, simple and complex...there is no dearth of paradoxes. I can't recall exactly when I developed my love for it, but it's a love I'm as sure of as the love for my kid, who doesn't share my zealous attitude about it...yet. She'll come around, just as I did.
