Introduction | I'm a writer, poet and freelance journalist. As a journalist I write for a variety of publications including Dumfries & Galloway Life and a disability newsletter. I also do some PR work for a Dumfries & Galloway-based charity, Southwest Scotland RnR, which provides adventure holidays for injured service personnel. As Creative Business Advocate for Literature in Dumfries & Galloway my role is to help writers find ways to improve their marketing skills and organise networking with other industry professionals. My novel, No More Mulberries, is set in Afghanistan where I worked for several years. I have also written a non-fiction account of my time in Afghanistan which will be republished (watch this space) by Indigo Dreams who is also publishing my first full length poetry collection in 2012. |
