| Interests | Welcome to my DIY blog. I am a 40-something woman; wife to a wonderful man, and mother of a terrific young man, working and living in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. I have many hobbies, including decorating, building, creating, re-purposing, painting, reading, thrifting and photography. I've called my blog "frugal french girl" because although I've lived in British Columbia for the past 20 years, I was born and raised in Gatineau, Quebec. "You can take the girl out of Quebec, but you can't take Quebec out of the girl!" After my husband and I went on our first vacation in 14yrs to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, we decided to make our small rented home a reminder of where we love to be...by the sea. We've turned our plain townhouse into a cute "coastal cottage" style home, on a budget. This blog is a reference to how we've done that, as well as other projects we've done along the way, always keeping the low cost goal in mind. Also included are things that make me smile, inspire me, simple things, pretty things, things that make a house a home. Things I love. I hope you enjoy it. |
