| Introduction | It started with a pencil, many simple sketches and from those things my love of art grew. In fact, I can’t remember not being fascinated with art and creating. Common themes I deal with are nature, patterns, geometry and portraits (including my own). I’m a full time artist / full time mom. My process of creating art is more thought than process many days. This is due to the time and place I am in my life (a good part of my day goes toward chasing my two year old around). The ideas behind my art are often equally as important as a finished piece. In order to push my ideas in different directions I often develop my idea both two dimensionally and three dimensionally. I have a Bachelor's degree from California State Univ. Long Beach in Studio Art (my emphasis was in drawing and painting) |
