| Introduction | After growing up in L.A., my post High School education concentrated on studies in psychology, sociology and physical education at Santa Barbara City College. I did not earn a degree. I’ve traveled extensively throughout Europe and among other things, marveled at their transportation, waste management and energy production systems. As a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 26 years, I have become very involved community affairs. Aside from regular contributions in local media, I’ve participated in many workshops and visioning processes through local organizations. Additionally: 1994 Hired as Community Recycling Coordinator, 2001 Co-founder and President of TRAC (Tahoe Region Advocates for Cycling) which has now evolved in the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition, 2006 ran for elected office as a City Council member..not elected, 2007 Member of S. Shore L.Tahoe C.o.C. Green Business Coop, 2008 Co-founded Compost Tahoe, 2008 Co-founded Sustainable Tahoe, 2009 Appointed to City of South Lake Tahoe Sustainability Commission. |
