Introduction	I'm a fan of football (proper football - soccer for my fellow Americans), films, music and interesting discussion. These will be the topics covered along with the a random assortment of my own ramblings. While I may not have my finger on the pulse of any of these things, I hope I can talk equally intelligently about all of them. I'm also re-introducing myself to hockey and a lover of good beer.

Favorite movies	Raging Bull, 8 1/2, The Godfather, City Lights, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Gates of Heaven, Hoop Dreams, any Monty Python, GoodFellas, JFK, Solaris (original), Gone With the Wind, Wizard of Oz, Fantasia, Persona, Ran, Oldboy, Amelie, Annie Hall, If...., Brazil, The Big Lebowski and plenty more.
Favorite music	I'm not even going to go into this. If I start, I won't stop for a long time. My favorite band is The Clash and I'll leave it there.
Favorite books	Favorites have been King Lear, Utopia, The Divine Comedy, Catcher in the Rye, A Confederacy of Dunces, My Last Sigh, Tales From the 1001 Nights, Fear and Loathing: On the Campaign Trail '72, Brilliant Orange: The Neurotic Genius of Dutch Football among others.
