About me

Introduction	My name is Lisa and I've been doing family history research for about 15 years. My grandmother shared her love for genealogy and I was fascinated by her charts and records and letters. Being a wife and mother of 4 left me with little time for research during those toddler years, but I was thrilled to take a basic genealogy class from Curt Witcher (Allen County Public Library) which helped to get me on my way. At first, I was a "census genealogist" - almost like a detective searching for the easiest clues. Before the internet became such a popular genealogist's tool, finding the complete set of census records for each ancestor was my goal. In the past couple of years, my children have begun to leave the nest and I've moved beyond the census records - but working full time still limits my time for research other than at my library or on the internet. My goals for my blogs are to share information that I've found for various family lines and hopefully to make some family connections. Please leave your comments!
