Introduction Hello! Welcome to Pixie Dust and Trail Dust. My name is Deb and I live in a suburb of Tucson, Arizona; off a dusty trail. I believe in fairy tales. I believe when the clock strikes three, fairies come out of hiding and dance on the petals of wildflowers that grow in the Sonoran desert. I also believe the fairies leave particles of pixie dust behind, it's on their slippers, and when the winds blow the dust takes flight and lands on the lips of passersby's making them smile. They have a inkling that something magical just happened to them, but don't know what it is. Having a joyful heart is a blessing! On May 6th 2004 I had gastric bypass surgery. Since then, I've been put back together by plastic surgeons. I DID have complications following my tummy tuck, but my surgeons told me "this is normal." My life is currently "on hold" while the surgeons try to repair my "this is normal" complications.
Interests I love cooking and baking. I aspire to be like Ina Garten. I would love to own a shop, along the lines of the shop Ina used to own, "The Barefoot Contessa." Mine would be named, "The Tarnished Tiara." I love decorating cakes and baking brioche -- the kind with a dough ball on top -- not the French "sweet version." I love animals; my favorites being dogs <especially Bichon Frises -- my heart aches for my three Bichons who wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge - with my Mom. I love horses and sheep. I love people. I'm the person you meet in "the stores" starting a conversation with you while we're waiting to be served in the deli, or waiting in line to checkout. I love ballet and never tire of watching "The Nutcracker." I love ballet shoes and slippers. I wear them ALL the time. Leather outside, satin inside. I love decorating. I adore fashion -- I love designing wedding gowns and dresses that come out of fairy tales. I love fabric...velvet, taffeta moire and old world lace. I LOVE tulle and tiaras. I love creating seasonal tablescapes, but sadly I'm stuck in the "fall mode." I love pumpkins and anything to do with autumn. I love to write. I have three books "in the works." I'm forever adding to them and the words "The End" will be written in 2009. That's my New Year's resolution! I love having conversations, especially about, egads, politics. I love Fox News. Bill O'Reilly and Greta Van Susteren are my favorite commentators. My favorite guests on their shows are Dick Morris, Bernie Grimm, Mark Fuhrman, Ted Williams and Jeff Felger. I love art. I could spend the rest of my life wandering through art galleries. I love color and texture. I named my Bichons' after the artists I admire. Beau "Van Gogh", Borghese "Da Vinci" and Chauncey "Renoir." I'm a romantic. I love to read anything from Rousseau to Stephen King to Beatrix Potter. My favorite fairy tale is "Alice in Wonderland." I love nonsense. I'm the Queen of pink!
Favorite Movies An Affair to Remember <Cary Grant-Deborah Kerr version>, and Unfaithful are my all-time favorites. I adore Olivier Martinez! ::sighing:: I also like, Almost Famous, Forest Gump, The Notebook, My Fair Lady, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Diary of Bridget Jones and the sequel. I love oh-so-many movies! They ALL have claimed a place in my heart, but I would be here forever if I attempted to name them all and you'd have probably gotten on with your life when you reached "Eloise at ChristmasTime." HOWLLLLING! Ooops, HOWLLLLING is an old habit and I'm a lady.
Favorite Music I love music! The types of music I listen to varies -depending upon the mood I'm in. In the car, I love listening to the Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith. If I have a book in my hands, sometimes I'll have two books -- one in each hand and my eyes looks VERY scary when I'm reading them! Oooh, I'm such a lovely sight! I look like Marty Feldman's character Igor (prounouced EYE-gor), the dim, oddball assistant in Mel Brook's movie "Young Frankenstein. Anyway, I listen to classical music. I love, Vivaldi's Four Seasons. "Spring" is my favorite cut. I clean while listening to the sounds of jazz and Motown. When I'm sad, it's the blues and I'm usually singing the blues. I'm a great at WAILLLLING! I don't like country. Oh, I take that back. I listen to SOME of the new country music when I don't have a choice --like when I'm shopping at Trader Joes. I have LOTS of older country favorite personalities...Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn. I adore their personalities but I don't want ot hear them sing. Sorry. :( My FAVORITE singers are in my family! My brother, Dennis, has a beautiful voice. My sister, Diane, has a great voice. OMG! My niece ShanaSue is an AMAZING singer -- she sings around town, here in Tucson -- ShanaSue is also a RN working in an ER -- she MAY sing to her patients. Her father, Jeff, also sings and plays drums, in venues around town. Music is in their blood. Andy William's is their cousin. I love Andy Williams -- his voice warms my heart on Christmas Eve.
Favorite Books I love books. I love the smell of books. I love libraries. I'll read anything by Stephen King, although, I think he's "winding down." Lately his books make me yawn, and I just can't get through his latest publications. I adore Dick Morris. I think he's the smartest man on the planet, next to Dave. :) I love "Fleeced" -- penned by Dick Morris and Eileen McGann, his wife. The Bible is the BEST book that's EVER been published. The WORDS found in "The Bible, " make it possible, and gives one hope, as you trudge along the roads of our Earthly journey.

Why don't YOU ever begin a conversation with me when I see you in a store, at the mall, or in a restaurant?
