| Introduction | My name is David and I am one of the pioneers of the Urban Grooves genre of music in Zimbabwe. I released my debut song, Tauya Naye in 1999 which was followed by my first album by the same title. In 2002,I self-produced my second album titled The Private Collection with songs including the popular “Sarudzai”. In 2004, I released my third album titled “Zvandiri or As I Am” which is the most revealing album that I have produced to date in the sense that you get to meet the David behind the music in 'my own space'. In 2010, I launched a limited edition album titled “Classics Volume 1” which is essentially a collection of my hit songs since the launch of his music career. I am currently recording my fifth album titled Art which is due to be released in 2011. Outside of the music business I am a software developer which I enjoy greatly as there is an element of creating something new which I love, just like making music. |
