| Introduction | A native Carolinian, April grew up not-so-wild and almost always barefoot in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Living in an area steeped with tradition, culture and a waterfall called Shunkawauken molded a lifelong love of all things historical. After twelve years and five colleges she received her bachelor's degree in history but never lost her Appalachian-American accent. April is an author, amateur genealogist, and wine enthusiast (as long as it's red and sweet). She currently resides in a much flatter part of South Carolina. |
