| Introduction | Kimberly M. Wetherell’s award-winning short films have screened in major film festivals around the world. including the International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam (IDFA), the International Film Festival of Rotterdam, the St. Louis Film Festival and The Hamptons Film Festival, and have secured distribution with Canal-Plus, Seventh Art Releasing and Current.
In addition to her own films, she was the Associate Producer for the independent feature film, TODAY'S SPECIAL (2010), Consulting Producer for the web series DORIS & BELINDA (2012), and a segment director for the first crowd-sourced documentary, 140 (2009). Prior to filmmaking, she was an operatic stage director; her career having taken her to esteemed opera houses around the world, including L’Opéra de Paris, Le Théâtre de Genève and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, working with such luminaries as Placido Domingo, Renée Fleming and Bryn Terfel. A Clearwater, FL native, Kimberly holds a BFA from The Theatre School at DePaul University and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. |
