| Introduction | I am a mom, wife, sister, daughter, neighbor and friend who loves agriculture, good food and people! We ranch full time on a leased ranch in NM. Hunting is a family tradition, as are horses and cows, although my husband and I are a generation or two removed from agriculture, we found our way back. Ok, it was never gone; in fact, I am sure it a huge part of what makes us tick. Nonetheless, we struggle with making sure people know that food isn't just something that comes from a store, it comes from hard work and good people, and if we aren't careful to keep that connection it will simply come from overseas and into the store, at the expense of our safety, health and culture. |
