| Introduction | I'm 29 years old and lost my job as a teacher last spring. I wasn't thoroughly upset because I really hated working for "those people" anyway but given the state of the economy, I wanted to make the decision to leave myself. However, the rug got pulled out from under me and I ended up on my fat ass, which is now 60 pounds lighter. I began to take control of my life and am beginning this blog as I experience building my life back up one soy sauce covered block at a time. After becoming increasingly bored and irritated on unemployment, I returned to a life of waitressing knowing that I wasn't taking much of a pay cut. Now, here I am, exploring the "big city" that was always known as home, as a grown adult, looking for a "real" job and contemplating my life as I near my 30th birthday. I'm just a girl in search of happiness but always seem to get distracted by some form of hilarious disaster... yep, I'm THAT girl. |
