Introduction My name is Stacey Givens and I am an urban farmer and chef. I started The Side Yard in March 2009, an urban farm in NE Portland dedicated to growing specialty produce for local restaurants organically, ethically, sustainably with a creative touch. I grow a variety of produce from salad greens, edible flowers, heirloom tomatoes, root vegetables, to herbs. Especially micro veggies!! Micro carrots, amaranth, radishes, mustard greens, beets and more. I have volunteers who work on the farm (mainly my AMAZING FRIENDS) that are proud to be a part of this progressive urban farming movement. Our goal: to provide Portland chefs with the best quality and creative produce known to mankind!!!
