| Introduction | I have a special place in my heart for single mothers. I have been fortunate enough to have an incredible family who has stood by me & forgiven me my immaturity long enough for me to figure it out for myself. I am also lucky enough to have found someone who doesn’t mind stretch marks & is passionate about being a father to my son. I am in awe of those who are brave enough to take on someone else’s child. Soon we will welcome into our family our first child together. I am happy that he has had the practice of being a father to my 6-year-old boy. Not that my son is hard to love – he’s the most breathtaking little boy & thankfully he still thinks the sun shines out of my ass. This blog is a collection of my misadventures in being pregnant with my son, from the point of view of a young & unprepared girl. I have had the good opportunity to grow up with my son. My world didn’t begin until he got here & we will forever be partners in life. To my amazing little boy I say this: May you always have the confidence to rise to any challenge. May you always keep your wit & good humor about you. May you always think farts are funny. Thank you for choosing me & growing up with me. |
