We don't think we can have any impact ourselves (thanks to our follower there for pointing out an interesting ambiguity). We comment on changing or new words, usage and pronunciation. Also amusing signs, notices or speech. We're not claiming to be experts or saying what's right or wrong, just observing and enjoying. Note: BrE is used here to mean British English, AmE American English
