| Introduction | Hello and welcome. I'm Alex, an English language teacher with over nine years of experience, currently living in China and shaping the minds of four-year-olds in a kindergarten setting. My journey into language teaching was accidental – a Geological Engineer from Russia who stumbled into a classroom and discovered a passion. My own path to English proficiency was marked by the same struggles many students face: years of test-based, grammar-heavy education that left me unable to form a simple sentence when it mattered most. This experience directly shapes my teaching philosophy. I believe that true language acquisition flourishes not in an environment of fear and perfection, but in one of safety, communication, and fun. I believe that language is a tool for human connection, not a set of rules to be memorized.
