Introduction Jim Stetson is a licensed architect with substantial civic, commercial, senior care, and multi-family housing experience. He has practiced architecture in California for over 30 years. Though an avid modernist, he is devoted to historic preservation. Urban infill and adaptive reuse are his specialties. His services range from assisting the client in site selection through design, construction documentation, and contract administration. His design work includes the Tustin Library, completed in 2009. During his post graduate studies at U.C. Berkeley, Jim studied Architectural History with David Gebhard and Spiro Kostoff. Among the historic buildings he has worked on are Hotel Oakland, Bush Street Temple in San Francisco, and the Minter House in Santa Ana. In 1997 Jim created the John Hudson Thomas Gallery. He started the John Hudson Thomas Journal in February of 2009.
