| Introduction | We are Catherine Dolsen, Chris Granat, and K. K. Friar, and we are pleased to coordinate youth activities The Old Scotch Church. All three of us have had a connection to the youth ministry for several years, though we are a newly formed leadership team. Catherine and Chris were students in the program, and K.K. was the former director of the Youth Choir. Our goals are 1) to strengthen our students' relationships with God, 2) to involve students in the congregational life of The Old Scotch Church, and 3) to provide opportunities for Christ-centered learning and fellowship. Students are invited to attend weekly Sunday school and worship. In addition, we gather on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. to play games, sing songs, offer prayers, and read the Bible together. We encourage students to discuss Biblical teachings as they relate to everyday life. We welcome church members and visitors alike. Our theme verse for 2011-12 is Matthew 18:20. [Christ says,] "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." |
