| Introduction | I am a city dweller heading to Tanzania for a month of service with "the nuns" at a local medical facility at the base of Kilimanjaro while on a sabbatical from PayPal in Silicon Valley. I thought it would be enlightening/perspective shaping to see a part of the world that is culturally and 'materially' very different from North America. I have read that the people of Tanzania put a great deal more value on human relationships than 'stuff' - compared to the land of the voracious comsumer (i.e. me in the U.S.) and am looking forward to how this new environment, culture, people and service may alter my perspectives.
