Introduction	Born in Birmingham in 1948, I went to School at Stechford Primary, Alston Juniors, Alston Boys and Saltley Grammar. I studied at the Birmingham School of Music (now Birmingham Conservatiore) and City of Birmingham Colege of Education, and taught at Aston Manor School, Birmingham - I met and married Mary in 1972 whilst we were both at Grenfell Baptist Church, Alum Rock, and have also worshipped at St Stephen's Selly Hill (1978-81) and Christ Church Ward End (1981- ) where I have been involved as Director of Music, and Lay-Reader (Preacher) - I support Birmingham City & Warwickshire County Cricket Club - At Aston Manor School I began as a Music Teacher in 1969. I became Head of Music, Head of Year, and in 1978 became Head of Lower School - In 1984 we took the "major" decision to go full-time in Christian music ministry, supported by the East Birmingham Renewal Group.
