| Interests | I used to work for a "Noble Cause": attending committee meetings and seminars, writing messages, speeches and memos; summarizing studies and researches; But now I am a full time student, idealistically hoping for world peace and blindly believing that love can heal the world, as I dig my nose on researches about how we can end poverty and improve health; On the side: I steal moments with my laptop Kenji to write blog posts, short stories and one-act plays too; In my free time: I travel a lot, both locally and abroad; read a lot of Murakami books, review my nihonggo; watch JDoramas and JMovies; listen to jazz, jpop, classical and rock; I try my hand on painting when I feel like it, it's not that I am good at it, it's just that I am in love with the idea of having a picture painted; watch art films to relax and browse the internet for the latest fashion in Harajuku and Shibuya; When time and space collides, I float in my day dreams; But every day, I just go on living my dream. |
| Favorite Movies | I love Japanese movies, no doubt about that. But I also adore cartoons and films that feature Jackie Chan. Not to mention my fascination with Tom Hiddleston, Eddie Redmayne, Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr. and Antonio Banderas. Some of my picks are: Battle Royale, Bandage, Bandage Club, A Walk in the Clouds, Iron Man Series, Magic Temple, Rob-y-Hood, Finding Neverland, Les Miserables, Seaside Motel. |
| Favorite Music | I am listening most of the time to jpop, particularly the songs of Kat-tun, Aqua Timez, Aluto, Uverworld, and Larc en Ciel. When in the mood to cross-over borders, I listen to CNBlue. But on my normal days, I go for Linkin Park, Greenday, and Hoobastank.I love listening to instrumental jazz when I want to drift somewhere else. Beethhoven and Chopin relax my mind. |
| Favorite Books | Sometimes, I love philosophical books that stir your thoughts and post questions on your belief and principles. I adore classics, definitely. But most of the time, I prefer inspirational ones that are light and easy-read like: The Alchemist, Five People You Meet in Heaven, Indigo, The Picture Of Dorian Gray. But above all else, I love all works of Haruki Murakami like Hard-boiled Wonderland at the End of the World, Dance, Dance, Dance, Norwegian Wood, Kafka on the Shore, After Dark, Wild Sheep Chase. |
