| Introduction | Andrea María is a professional in Spanish Language and Literature and holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy, with extensive experience in the public sector and urban mobility policy. She served as Bogotá Bicycle Manager at the Secretaría de Moviidad and as Gender and Safety Strategist at TransMilenio S.A., where she worked on inclusive mobility, gender mainstreaming and safety in public transport systems. She is an experienced trainer and facilitator who has collaborated with local authorities, transport agencies and civil society organizations to promote people-centred, inclusive and care-oriented mobility systems. She currently works as a consultant on gender, social inclusion, intersectionality and care in projects related to urban mobility. In 2020, she was recognized as one of the Remarkable Women in Transport by the Transformative Urban Mobility Institute (TUMI, Germany). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Transport Engineering at Universidad de los Andes, where her research focuses on the intersection of transport infrastructure, gender, intersectionality and care in cities of the Global South. |
