| Introduction | I am President of Promise House, Inc., a non-profit organization that transitions teens from homelessness to long-term stability and success. I have been in the helping professions almost 30 years in a variety of capacities, from private therapy practice, to university teaching, to clinical services. Since becoming President of Promise House in 2001, I have become passionate to bring a voice to the invisible population of homeless and runaway teens. I have two incredible daughters, ages 29 and 18. I live in a very old prairie-style house (1909) named The Boorhem Barn in a very diverse neighborhood. |
