| Introduction | Born and raised in Pennsylvania. My Dad was a 30 year man with IBM, and a veteran of WWII (Army Air Corps). He died in 1999. My Mom raised four kids--three losers and me, the superstar (just kidding, guys), and then had a career in corrections before retiring. Now in her 80s, she's a social butterfly and my hero. I went to Valley Forge Military College and Penn State, and then served in the military for 24 years as an infantry officer. Retired from the Army and now serve on the Principal Professional Staff of The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. I have a BA in History, MS in International Relations, Masters of Military Arts and Sciences, and a PhD in US History. I've written three books on military science, an unpublished horror novel, two booklets with the Lab, and lots of articles. I'm married to the best woman in the world and my other hero: Suzanne. I have five wonderful kids, three step-kids, three grand-kids, and SEVEN cats (don't ask) plus two more who are visiting. I love to study and teach the Bible, play chess, and wargame. I attend the best church in the world: Fellowship Bible Church in Winchester, VA. |
