Introduction	I'd love to concoct some unique, mysterious portrait of myself, but the truth is, I'm just another girl in a rather large (or small, depending on your viewpoint) world. Bullshit seems to be running rampant in my life - the words "Stroke," "Cancer," "Autism" and "Anxiety," for example, come up way more than necessary. Hence the dark subject matter of my writing. However, dark is never without light to show you the difference. The flame may smolder dimly, flutter awkwardly, or ignite upwards with smoky urgency, but it burns. It is this flame that prevents the darkness from consuming me, and for which I am grateful. It is my family, my passion, glimpses of the world that remind me of the privileges of breathing. Yeah - get back to me when the chips are down and we'll see how sun-shiny I'll be. I just had to throw that in there.
