| Introduction | Where it began—and where it will end—remains a mystery. Lunch With Doug officially launched March 23, 2017, but its roots reach back to 1996, when Dangerous Doug Harper first started filming band adventures while performing as a musical artist himself. That early passion for capturing Nevada, MO’s underground energy grew into The Local Ear Underground Entertainment Guide, a fan‑zine giving overlooked musicians a voice. As print faded, Doug shifted to digital—moving from zines to livestreams and community‑driven media. Lunch With Doug began as a simple Facebook Live during lunch breaks and quickly evolved into a full-scale series with 260 video episodes, a six‑part movie, 538 podcast episodes, and more. Today, Doug continues creating and championing local talent—not only through his own music, but also as manager and promoter for DJ Finnis, the area’s resident club DJ. New episodes drop twice weekly at noon on With Doug TV (Roku), replay in rotation, and stream on all major podcast platforms. |
