| Introduction | I never planned on entering the golf industry. After graduating from high school in 2006, I entered post-secondary education at the University of Saskatchewan. The summer after my first year I took a job as a part of the maintenance team of Greenbryre Golf and Country Club in Saskatoon, SK. I never really played golf or knew much about the sport, but I loved the work and a love of the sport started to form. After my second year of education, I returned to the course. The idea of being apart of the Turfgrass industry started to grow in my head. I didn't return to the university, but instead decided to obtain a Turfgrass Management Diploma. After working at Greenbryre for one more summer, I attended Olds College in Olds, AB. I have now completed my two year diploma, and am returning to finish my degree. Currently I am employed as the Intern at Capilano Golf and Country Club in West Vancouver, BC. |
