| Introduction | I am a Brooklyn-based freelance writer, mother to a dyslexic son. In November of 2005 my odyssey began to get David educated in a way that he would flourish. I began logging every telephone call, every meeting, every open house I attended. It was a long, hard road getting David what he needed, but we managed to get him into a private school that suited his learning style. A friend convinced me to start a blog to share the information I've culled over the years with other parents whose children also have different learning needs. And "Educating David" was born. |
