| Introduction | On March 27, 2014, on a drive from Paris, TX to Houston with both my sons, I lost control on a wet highway and our car went off-road and rolled over 5 times. The boys were virtually untouched, thank God. But pretty quickly I realized something was really wrong with me. I couldn't move my arms or legs to try to get out of the car. We found out that I had a spinal cord injury high up in my neck at the C6/C7 vertebrae. I had a couple stints in rehab at TIRR Memorial Hermann in Houston, then came home to Paris. I've spent the time since the accident becoming as independent as possible so I can keep living my life. The purpose of this blog is to help my friends understand what life is like for me now and what things I can and can't do. Basically a course in Quadriplegia 101! |
